Alentejo's little-known but stunningly beautiful tour will take us first to the Roman Ruins of Troia where we will learn about the history of the greatest fish-salting center of the Roman Empire from it's rise until it's decadence.

Next, we will drive to Alcácer do Sal. Bathed by the Sado River, this 3000 year-old town was chosen for royal weddings due to its royal importance, and as Alentejo's Coast wealthiest town, it has been filled with treasures inside: ancient artifacts, statues, manor houses, churches, convents, and its main attraction: the moorish Castle.

The tour will continue to the town of Carrasqueira to see and take some photos of the Palafitic Pier and its iconic striking homes: rustic cabanas and thatched-roof huts, both considered a highlight of the region.

After our lunch break, we will visit the town center of Comporta, considered the Hamptons of Europe due to its mixture of traditional fisherman's houses and luxury villas, haute restaurants and artistic vintage shops.
