TROIA WALKING TOUR | This natural paradise has been the dream of magnates and a refuge for the country's wealthiest citizens
Troia is often called "the Portuguese Miami" mostly for its excellent white-sand beaches, year-round mild climate and numerous leisure activities, including: dolphin watching, kite surfing, windsurfing and shopping; for the unique, luxurious and authentic environment that is breathed here; and of course, for its haute restaurants.
Our Tour starts in the Marina facing the Sado River and the Troia Design Hotel, decorated with hundreds of contemporary works by Portuguese painters and artists. Afterward, we will go through the footpaths along the beach to enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and of the incredibly beautiful Arrábida Natural Park, while you listen to the history and the stories of these Landscapes, the Alentejo Coast and the Resort.
Note: To complete your cultural visit to Troia, a visit to the Roman Ruins (1st-6th Centuries) is highly recommended. Located in the former Island of Ácala and 6 km away from the Marina, it was once the largest fish-salting center of the Roman Empire. You can visit the ruins on your own or book the Private Tour of the Alentejo Coast to get to know the whole region.
